RAL Color Range

RAL (Reichs-Ausschuss für Lieferbedingungen) is the European standard for color matching and specification in the coatings industry. Our comprehensive RAL color range includes Classic, Effect, and Design System+ collections, providing over 2,000 standardized colors for powder coating applications.

RAL Classic Colors

The RAL Classic system comprises 215 standardized colors, organized into color families including yellows, oranges, reds, violets, blues, greens, greys, browns, whites, and blacks. These colors have been industry standards since 1927 and are universally recognized for architectural and industrial applications. Each RAL Classic color is identified by a four-digit number (e.g., RAL 9016 Traffic White, RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey).

RAL Effect Colors

RAL Effect collection features 70 metallic and 420 solid colors, offering modern alternatives with enhanced visual appeal. These colors are particularly popular for automotive, furniture, and premium architectural applications where distinctive finishes are required. Effect colors provide depth, shimmer, and sophisticated aesthetics beyond standard solid colors.

RAL Design System+

The RAL Design System+ is a comprehensive color space with 1,825 colors arranged in a logical, three-dimensional color model. This system uses CIELab color space notation (Hue, Lightness, Chroma) for precise color specification and is ideal for designers requiring exact color matching and harmonious color combinations. Design System+ enables professional color planning for complex architectural and product design projects.

Powder Coating Color Matching

All RAL colors in our range can be matched in powder coating formulations. We work with Interpon and Resicoat product lines to achieve accurate color reproduction meeting international standards including AAMA, Qualicoat, and GSB. For critical color matching, we recommend ordering physical powder samples or coated panels to verify color accuracy under your specific lighting conditions and substrate requirements.
